Choosing What to Track
When you add a seller, AmzMonitor first checks their storefront and tells you roughly how many products they have. From there, you choose the Seller Monitoring Type — the scope AmzMonitor will track every day:
- Top 300 Best Sellers — the 300 products currently ranking as best sellers on their storefront.
- Top 300 Newest Arrivals — the 300 most recently added products.
- Top 300 Best Rated — the 300 highest-rated products.
- All Products — everything the seller is actively promoting, up to 1,500 products.
If a seller has more than 1,500 promoted products, AmzMonitor will flag it and ask you to either narrow the scope with a brand filter or pick one of the Top 300 options instead — a seller's full catalog can't be fully tracked past that point. The Daily Scan
For every product within the chosen scope, AmzMonitor records a snapshot of the details that matter most — price, fulfillment method (FBA or FBM), stock status, Prime eligibility, badges, coupons, and more. See Monitored Fields for the full list.
Every day, AmzMonitor revisits the storefront and compares the new snapshot against the previous one. If anything has shifted — a price change, a fulfillment switch, a product going out of stock, or a new item entering the tracked lineup — that change is detected and turned into an alert. Over time, this builds a clear, hands-off picture of how a seller manages their storefront and how their strategy evolves.
AmzMonitor only tracks products within the scope you chose. If a product disappears from the list, it doesn't necessarily mean it was deleted or is no longer sold — it may simply have fallen out of that scope (for example, dropped out of the Top 300 Best Sellers).
