Vine Voices

Vine Voices are Amazon's most trusted reviewers, invited to test products and write honest, in-depth reviews. Learn how the Amazon Vine program works for sellers and how to use it effectively at launch.

Who Are Vine Voices?

Vine Voices are a carefully selected group of Amazon customers who have been personally invited by Amazon to participate in the Vine program. Selection is based on the quality, depth, and helpfulness of their past reviews—not on seller nominations or brand relationships. Vine Voices receive free products from enrolled sellers and provide honest, detailed reviews in return. The entire program is administered by Amazon to protect its independence and integrity.

How the Amazon Vine Program Works for Sellers

  • Brand-registered sellers can enroll eligible ASINs directly through Seller Central
  • Sellers provide up to 30 free units for Vine Voices to test and review
  • Amazon matches products with Vine reviewers based on their stated interests and review history
  • Published reviews carry a visible 'Vine Voice' badge, signaling credibility to shoppers
  • Vine reviews are typically thorough, photo-heavy, and carry high helpfulness ratings

Who Can Use Amazon Vine?

Amazon Vine is available to sellers enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry with an active trademark. The ASIN being enrolled must have fewer than 30 existing reviews at the time of enrollment, making it most relevant for new product launches. There is a fee to enroll each ASIN (which varies by the number of reviews requested), and it's best used strategically for products that need early social proof to gain ranking and conversion momentum.

Are Vine Reviews Always Positive?

No—and that's intentional. Vine Voices are contractually required to provide honest opinions, regardless of outcome. Reviews can be positive, mixed, or negative. Amazon strictly prohibits sellers from contacting Vine reviewers or trying to influence their feedback in any way. If a product receives critical Vine reviews, it's a signal worth paying attention to before scaling ad spend or ordering more inventory.
