What is FBA Inventory Age?
Inventory Age is a metric that shows how many days your stock has been sitting in an Amazon warehouse. Amazon prioritizes high-velocity products; therefore, the longer an item stays on the shelf, the more 'penalties' it incurs in the form of aged inventory surcharges and a lower IPI score.
How to Track and Manage Aged Stock
- Review the 'Inventory Age' report in Seller Central weekly
- Identify units approaching the 180-day mark to avoid surcharges
- Prioritize 'First-In, First-Out' (FIFO) logic in your sales strategy
